Thanks, CC!

I love entering give-a-ways and I especially love winning them. Look what came in the mail the other day. A little while ago I entered CC's give-a-way, she is the blog author of Lace n Ribbon Roses. I won! I had my choice of which sunbonnet (she does Sunbonnet Sue) I wanted and I choose Sarah, isn't she cute!?! Check out CC's card, how sweet like the lollipops and the bookmark (I forgot it in the photo but trust me, right up Madame's ally!)

The pin cushion is especially nice, CC said in her note it's the first one she done. She did a wonderful job it is so nicely packed I'm sure it will do the trick. I'll be putting it next to my sewing machine. Great Work CC! Thank-you! Thank-you!

Don't cha just love the little basket Sunbonnet Sarah is holding? Look at the little shoe buckle!!! Oh! High squeal!!!! C&G Design

The last little Annie

This little cutie is the last of the free Annie doll's given away by Julie of My Raggedy dolls. This one is called Christmas Annie. We can see why she has that for a name, look at her peppermints, (high squeal!) and her dress is adorable with the gingerbread men and the complimentary snowflake fabric.

I have all my toes and fingers crossed for me to win! C&G Design

This is doll # 2 and the lucky winner of this one is to be drawn today, I hope it's me! Beloved Belindy, (Raggedy Ann and Andy's nanny) was the first doll to be given away and that was last Wednesday. Five other cuties will be given away each RAGGEDY Wednesday until Christmas, all you have to do is comment and the best thing?! You only have to comment once! She will roll over the names to each give-a-way!

I won!

Yesterday I announced the winner of my give-a-way and today I'm posting on a give-a-way I won! I've known about this for 10 days now but I was waiting for the delivery through the mail, well it arrived safely yesterday. Prim and Whimsy Gals, a collective site for crafters, hosted a Halloween give-a-way with 9 winners, 9 winners! I threw my comment in because all the prizes are wonderful, they are donated by the people who support the site.

Never, never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd win first place, I did! It is this 17 carat African amethyst gemstone with a 16 sided polyhedron oval cut and I have such a urge to set it in a ring, what do you think? It was donated by
Dorothy from The Big Rock Show.

The camera doesn't pick up the sparkle from this rare gem but it glistens in the light, it has a lot of fire and depth to it's appearance.

It also shimmers with red. C&G Design

Let us not forget that today is Raggedy Wednesday and it being "Raggedy Wednesday", it's time to reveal the recipient of my 500th post give-a-way.

I entered everyone according to what was ruled in the post introducing this give-a-way, some were entered 3 times, some twice, and some once. (Even Debbie was entered as a follower! She was nice and opted out as she won the last give-a-way).

Madame picked the winner from a cute red Christmas basket (it has bells on the side). There isn't any volume because it's still my old camera, and worse, I can only download the video on my laptop which made the picture grainy. Apparently, not a lot of programs are available for the new camera and it's video download //*_*\\. It bums me because I have footage of the play house I mentioned yesterday, sigh. I'll figure it out. In the meanwhile, I apologize for the bad picture on the video but I think you will be able to still make out the winner.

I have to say, I enjoy a give-a-way but I wish that everyone could win! I know it doesn't work that way but it prompts me to have more give-a-ways. I'll think of another one shortly in the future.

I will let the winner know by her blog but be assured I've been a commenter on her part of the world for awhile, she is a devout follower of Sunbonnet Sue and has shared many, MANY! Beautiful free patterns. Email me your addy if you are reading this! My email is listed on my profile.

Enjoy! C&G Design

500th Post Give-a-way

It's that time again, time for another raggedy give-a-way! I've shied away from the dolls and pillows (it was hard), and decided to finish a vintage block in the raggedy Ann and Andy style, together with the lollipop holders it makes a perfect gift!

This is what you have to do:

1. Post a comment---that enters you once,

2. Link my give-a-way on your blog----that enters you twice (right click on photo, click save as.....publish from you "add a picture" gadget, don't forget to link to this post!)
3. Become a follower---this enters you a third time! My existing followers are already entered.

Madame will draw the winner on Wednesday, October 21st. My actual 500th post is Sunday October 18th but I'm keeping with my postings of Raggedy Wednesday.

Enjoy! C&G Design

redwork, Ann and Andy

It might be alittle cheesy to do a Raggedy Ann Wednesday on my give-a-way gift, but I don't think Debbie will mind. My only regret is I did not get too many progression pictures, you can see how differently it looks being a single panel. This was fun to do, because so much of it evolved into a cute scene, it went quickly and as always, it was a challenge to figure jumps to separate paths of red work, or just the dots on Ann's dress.

I stitched the border by hand because it was easier to "ease" a straight line. Ease; That of which one line/curve, is worked into a larger line/curve. Pretty wild I can put my own definition to something and hope everyone understands it. Think of ease as a sleeve cap fitting into a small curve.

I really enjoyed this give-a-way and I'm thinking of another for my 500th post.

We have a winner!

Today is the day, we pick a winner of my Blogiversary give-a-way, I'm excited and feel it's been a long time. I want to thank all the commenter's, I think every one's home would love to have Ann and Andy adorn a infrequently used chair, or the corner of any couch. You can see the list below, it includes the bloggers that posted my badge on their site as they were entered twice because of it. Kathleen, Debbie and Tumbleweed Trails. I had Madame pick from her handmade hat, (a future post!) I'm still using the old camera because I've yet to master the new one......consequently, there isn't any volume, video but no volume. Here we go.....drum roll......

Email me with your address,
I'll have your package in the mail by Monday at the lastest and congrats!
I'll have to do another give-a-way soon! C&G Design
