I've done many of these kits, I'm going to give Betty Ballerina to Madam P at some point, although she hasn't asked for it yet.Soft sculpture is fairly easy, it's basically a design of several small stitches pulled tight, usually in a stuffing part of your project.
My kit was made in the seventies and I must say....doll making has come a long way since then. One of the required tools is a soft sculpture needle pictured at the top of Betty's head.
My needle of necessities, are 5 inches. C & G Design.
Looks kind of like Cabbage Patch. Handmade is always nice.

ReplyDeleteHi Guys, these are fun, only thing is....got to be careful with tying knots in the hairline, sometimes when you don't tighten them right, you get a hole in the head!
