I think this is a Ginger Jar from Japan. Hard to tell because it has no cover, that's long gone. Pretty.
I like this mod wig case, I use it with my doll collection as a spacious cubby for a few valuable dolls.Maybe my two items are related.......

Hi Dawn, very nice, although the mod wig holder cracked me up, having lived through those mod years myself! HA I loved your embroidery clock and my Hazel cat looks just like your kitty too. She has exactly the same attitude about having her picture taken, they must be related!

ReplyDeleteThey ARE related items if you're a gardener. That ginger jar would look cute with a plant in it. I suppose you'd need some gravel or marbles at the bottom. Then you could gather the dead leaves from your plant in the wig holder to be brought out to the compost pile.

ReplyDeleteHair Receiver, now that is an item that you don't hear very often. I have a real one that belonged to Aunt Eva. It sits on a dresser in my bedroom and I love it and it also has pink on it. Now that ginger jar would make one LARGE hair receiver!!!
