Today, I've elected to photograph my mailbox geranium. In years past I've had such difficulty growing anything in this little wooden box but not this year, we have had so much rain, I was worry free about the poor plant drying out so quick. It's beautiful especially considering the roots are in three inches of soil. I'm proud of myself. To think the person who delivers my mail would see this every time he stops....well something as little as that would make my day.
This is what convinced me to try this planting again, the pink and the white flower on the same plant. I was hoping it would stay that way but alas! No such luck.
You did an awesome job with those pink geraniums in the mailbox! I have been wanting to do that for years....I used to do it all the time...but alas...like everything else in my life...not enough time. We have been busy every day with that darned room. Last night we purchased a tv stand at Walmart at around 9:30! That was after going to 4 other stores first and two the day before and looking at them online til our eyes got buggy! The tv will be delivered in 3 hours and the furniture on Tuesday. I am really getting kind of stressed and wishing it was all done already....but try to be grateful. Miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI like geraniums also. I have quite a few different colors.
Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteLovely geraniums!

They look real good Dawn and I know that spot is mostly all shade so that is an excellent job. I bet Impatients would do good in that spot or Tuberous Begonias. The Potato Vine is absolutely incredible. I love those leaves.
ReplyDeleteOh Dawn, Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie. What an awesome job you did with the decorating around the mailbox for the mailman and all to enjoy. I haven't had much luck with mine this year. Everything has cooked in the Phoenix sun so, that it all looks pretty sad. I've never seen a potatoe vine, but that too is awesome. Thanks for sharing sweetie. Please stop by and let me share my PS post too. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry

ReplyDeleteHi, Dawn,
ReplyDeleteYour geraniums are so pretty! I know what you mean about getting something to grow in a mailbox planter. I struggle every year and usually wind up planting several different plants throughout the year. Happy Pink Saturday! Vicki
Not just the mailman but everyone who comes visit your home will see them :-) So that's lots of smiles from people.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Weekend!

Love the pink geraniums! You put me to shame! I should plant something around our mailbox, but I've never got around to it. They are lovely and I'm sure they bring a smile to the mailperson! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteGreat pink flowers. I'm sure your mailbox is a happy box with that pretty pink flower for a companion. The flowers are just beginning to die off here in the Pacific Northwest, all the pink ones anyway! Hope you have a beautiful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteGreat job and they look gorgeous too, Happy Pink Saturday, Char
ReplyDeleteLovely and nice going on Beverly's challenge to post about another pink post. I'm planning on doing that next week.
