For my first complete felt doll structure, she's not too shabby!
The camera brightens the pale purple of the flowers so it is hard to gather the full effect of how the felt works together.
The back of her hair is just as adorable, this was only my second wig ever, it is a self sustaining hair piece created by applying glue on top a egg shaped wooden ball, course the wooden ball has saran wrap taped to it. You stick your hair pieces in the glue and once the whole thing dries the basic step left is.....you guessed it! Peeling away the saran wrap. Make sure your doll body is already made because the wig is very brittle and needs to been applied soon, additional glue will be needed.

Once my wig was placed and dried I fashioned the curls with my fingers and used bobby pins to secure them. The crown of the head has a circular braid with pearl beads woven through it.

You better not forget her anymore:)
She is just plain adorable!
Great job Dawn! Really cute dress and what a job on that wig and pretties in her hair!!
Just as adorable as can be. I think if you had put the flowers on the blue, it would have ruined her and I love her hair. Wish I had hair like that. Another good job.
Fantastic job! She is very cute. Love how you created the wig/hair.
What a perfect name for your pretty little miss. I love her hair. Maybe you could do mine sometime? Dawn, do you ever have a day when you don't work on a craft project? How do you stay so motivated? Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving, a day full of good memories and lots of love. Hugs, Kathleen
Hi Dawn, oh she is so cute!
Say, I just saw you came and left me a post as I was posting a NEW post. Thank you for that. My old email used to notify me when someone visited me, but my new one doesn't seem to be working correctly yet in that department.
We found a place to live, finally - well, you can read about it in my last post if you're so inclined. I hope all is going great for you, and yours.

ps, I forgot to choose name/url... I don't use my blogger blog, just my MaidenShade.net one. Oh mercy, I am so tired! xJ
Shabby or chic---she's gorgeous. Love her hair. Wish mine looked like that. You are so talented.
Dawn, I am impressed with the wig creation. Your doll is so sweet, too. I have reached the last available brain cell for stocking my store so I'm going to be visiting around again regularly.
Ooooo Dawn, she's just beautiful And such a wonderful dress and you've done lovely work with her hair. She's just beautiful.
