Since I had a repeating pattern up and down, I decided a pattern to intersect it would be what I was looking for. BTW, this sequin string made it SOOoo easy to place the sequins quickly, I loved it!
I picked up this large sized quart bag from Goodwill that had so many beautiful beads in it, beads from a craft shop and ones that are strung so you could work easier (some are glass). To my luck I also found out where they were too! Anyhow, I don't think I planned on the same color as the lace, it just worked out that way.
The "North Pole" has a swirly pearl pattern, I'm thinking the South pole should have the same. Funny how a small thing can cause you to go to bed that night thinking, hummm....looks like Earth. I could do wind....fire...and water!
Who Hoo! I love inspiration! C&G Design

How pretty it turned out. I was just thinking about getting some jewelry from a thrift shop to do some decorating.

Nice job Dawn! I am playing catch up this morning as usual. We did get hit with a lot of snow didn't we? I think it was the entire state of Maine. I am so amazed at how busy you are! Those ornaments you are making are spectacular! I also adore those little raggedies you showcased yesterday. I keep wishing you would win! If anyone should...you should...as much as you love those dolls! I am going crazy trying to get stuff done for the holiday...so much to do and so little time to do it. I waited too long this year. I love what you wrote about the creative mind working when you go to bed at night! That happens to me all the time and some nights I can't sleep with all these creative juices flowing! It's fun...isn't it? Great job my friend, but I expect no less from you now!
Looks like a lot of work with all the stuff on it. Pretty.
You did not mention the storm. We got off cheap. No more than 3 inches and then the temp went up over 40 and rained, poured down rain. We did have a lot of wind and lost power for nearly 6 hours.
What an exquisite ornament. I, too, love the color, and those beads are just stunning. I am right out straight. Like Debbie, I feel like I am behind. Too much to do, it's hard to find time to craft. And yes, I sometimes go to bed at night when my head just reeling with all kinds of information. You are just too talented, Dawn. Wish you could share some of that with me! Hugs, Kathleen
