Pink Saturday has arrived again! It's amazing how quickly the week goes sometimes, it seems like yesterday I was posting about a Christmas memory.
Beverly at How Sweet the Sound has given us subjects to write about on our post and has also let us know it's okay to publish just pink.
This week the subject is about our favorite ornament. I can say I adore and cherish the ornaments my grandmother made for me when I was a kid, each year when I remove them from their place of hiding I am so gentle, so reminiscence and so pleasant spirited when I place them on the tree. It would be hard for me to choose.
In keeping on the same vein of thought, my knees go weak at a beautifully handmade ornament. The creativity and time it takes to make a sparkle spot on a green tree flabbergast me sometimes.
But in recent years though I have to say, my faves have changed (it's so hard to choose), hummmm....well, I've seen my kids mature from year to year, I've seen the hopes and dreams they have had, the wants and wishes, and the amazement and awe of it all. I've experienced all this along with them and I have to say since my daughter has spent two years being a soldier for the Maine State Ballet, my current favorite ornament is the Nutcracker. It's a beautiful timeless story of childhood wonderment. Merry Christmas to all. C&G Design

ReplyDeleteVery touching.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday to all.
Good Morning Dawn...
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday sweetie.
I absolutely love the Nutcracker Ballet. Sadly I have only read the story, and have never had the pleasure of seeing the real ballet.
I am so tickled that you have a live little "Nutcracker" that dances in the ballet.
I hope you will take pictures and post them. I would love to see her in costume.
Please stop by and let me share my pink post with you.
Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
Love your sweet ornament and your post. I betcha your daughter is a most wonderful little soldier. What a fun time she must be having....

We don't need elaborate decorations or a big tree or numerous gifts under a tree. All any of us needs is to carry the spirit of Christmas in our hearts and to share it all year long with everyone we meet.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your blog with me today. Yes, I'm crazy about ♥PINK♥ but I'm also devoted to visiting some of the nicest blogs in cyberspace.
Hoping your weekend is filled with peace.
The favorite of every little princess and every big one too! Thanks for sharing, Mollye
ReplyDeleteGood choice! Savor every single second of your daughter's journey!
