Oh, how I had hoped to have my floorcloth done by today, but since I don't, I'll give an update. For those of you, (my mom!) who guessed the theme of my first floorcloth would be Ann and Andy, you were right! I wasn't sure at the time what kind of Raggedies I would come up with, so here they are..... With the help of CC at Lace 'n Ribbon Roses, I managed to squeak out this cute set. CC has some vintage embroideries she posted on her blog, the Ann was one of them, I adapted the pattern to suit Andy.
I fear the reason it's taken me so long to finish this rug is because, it's very tedious to paint. Now, normally I like tediousness, BUT! Because this is canvas with a thick weave, one must glob paint on the brush to get a decent, solid, brushstroke. What happens when you glob too much on a brush? It tends to drip. I scared myself while painting the shoes, I almost had a drip splatter of black color in my border.
I would of cried! C&G Design

It looks really really good! Kudos to Mom for guessing the theme.
I can see why it's going slowly. The size for one thing and you have to wait for things to dry before going into the center. Looks great so far.

Looking great Dawn. Of course it had to be Ann & Andy. I imagine they are time consuming.
On the mend so will try to catch up on your blog.
Looking good!!
Lola, great minds think alike as I think you also said the cuties.
Good guesses ladies! Of course, it would be Ann and Andy :-)
Dawn..
It's going to be so gorgeous when it's all done. That's quite a project
that you would have been charged a fortune for had someone else done it. I can't wait to see it finished..
