But check out the lace curtains and her zig-zag trim on her dress, it's the back stitch (going in the fabric, coming out a stitch away, going back through the same starting point, coming out a stitch away, move down to the next point). Very tedious but in the right application, it is beautiful. This needle point is professionaly mounted with the name of the needlepoint inked on the backing, piano lessons. I'm going to leave it like that and hang it next to the piano so Madame can have a continuing reminder to practice.
Think it will work? C & G Design.

It is very pretty and I do not blame you for having to have it. A very good addition to any room.
You have described the stitches so well, but I am in love with the gorgeous colors. That is beautiful, and surely Madame will treasure it as the years go by!
That is beautiful. It's a shame that hand decorated items are not done in this day & time. It seems to be a dieing art. I'm glad you are keeping it alive.
No, it won't work. I am back, complete with a migraine. Sigh.
Love your china from yesterday's post and what a beautiful piece of embroidery! I bet it looks wonderful hanging by your piano. Take care~
That is an adorable pic and the little girl is just precious! Nice stitching by some patient person. A great reminder for Madame...
