Pink Projects

I was browsing my craft books this week and I came across one of my favorites. It's a Super Scrap how to from the early eighties (goodness, where did the time go!) I consider it one of my favorites because it makes use of things from nature, check out this painting done with flower petals. Isn't the vase gorgeous? Such texture.

The book also has this perfect pink jewelry made from bread dough, although today we would use Fimo or Sculpey. Back in the eighties, this set would be everyday ordinary wear. I think it has a heirloom quality to it, remember the hair combs?

This has to be my favorite, (besides finding a close pattern for one of my ornaments) this wreath is made out of muffin cups! Isn't it cute, it would be a beautiful baby shower adornment especially since the circle symbolizes a continuance.

  1. Ah, the eighties, I rmember it well. I just love the pink rose jewelry, and those hair combs. I rmember trying to wear them in my hair...but my hair is so fine, they would never stay in. I can't believe that wreath! Gorgeous! Stay warm, baby it's cold outside, and going to get colder. Hugs my friend

  9. I love the wreath. My mom used to make similar wreaths for Christmas but with wrapped hard candy...we got to eat the wreath, piece by piece. Unfortunately, she often used cinnamon candies, probably because they were red and cinnamon candies are really not THAT appealing to a little girl...or a big girl for that matter.
    Happy Pink Saturday!

  18. Duh me! I forget to comment yesterday. 50 lashes with a spagetti noodle okay? I must do something with my blog sidebar sometime. I love that jewelery! Made with bread dough? The next time I come please show it to me. I do remember the combs. I bought one at the big show factory last summer I think it was. Mom was joking it was not old only from the 70s. I just smiled then she realized-yup pretty old.
