So to resolve, I poked a few holes in the tops and set it in the sun. A occasional squeeze from me omitted water and allowed air to penetrate, thank goodness! They are doing better although slow going in this humid air. For my commenter and dear friend, Debbie and any other readers, I've included a link to my first block and that link will lead to a demo of the pattern. I might add, these are fun and rewarding. 
So....my number 2 block will be Mother Goose. I'm not set in stone about doing antique pages, but I'm leaning that way.

ReplyDeleteIt is 53 degrees here this AM. What is up with this weather????? HOw can anything be dry with all this wetness all the time? I want to have a yard sale, but who can when it rains nearly every day? I can't wait to see the finsihed block....and that quilt. Hugs, Kathleen

Ok!! Now I GET it! How cool is that! Thanks for dropping in all that info Dawn! What a great idea. I have some old sheet music with wonderful old graphics! That would be great to use if I ever made one of these. Actually, I have been looking for some quite some time for craft ideas on old sheet music! I should write about that in my post. Thanks Dawn...boy you really come up with some wonderful ideas and you tackle them no matter how complicated they seem (to me!) which is amazing. Your garden must be going crazy? Mine is really slow.

ReplyDeleteI love the prints. It is very understandable that they are not drying if Maine is having similar weather to us. It just rains and rains here. It doesn't at all feel like summer.
