What is Pink Saturday?
My fairy name
Your fairy is called Oak Goblinfly
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in forests of oak and lime trees.
She is only seen at midday under a quiet, cloudless sky.
She decorates herself with leaves and berries. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
I really like these, these are what I think of when someone mentioned a ornament made from styrofoam and straight pins. These also have sequins, lots of sparkle and shine.
The hardest part about it was pinning the ribbon and rick-rack on so there were equal pie parts, try holding down 8 loose ends while you grab for a pin!
The pie spaces are filled in with the sequins and then outlined with pearl beads. It looks like a sea urchin to me.
There were two ornaments in this kit each using 400 pins but they are very pretty, repeating prism light spots on my hand as I turn them over and over.
Dawn, these are beautiful. *sighs..Now I feel so lazy, I have some ornament kits also and haven't slowed down long enough to make some. *another deep sigh..I dislike work so much sometime.. :).
Hi Dawn...this is a really stunning one...very nice job! That seems like a lot of pin poking to me! I have been doing lots of crafts lately. My kitchen table began to be covered once again after the holiday. I am making more mice and I made a sunflower pillow and am now working on a patchwork lap blanket or two and another applique pillow. I am in a slump today though...not feeling the greatest. Hope it's not the Hiney flu...H1N1...that's what my friend Chandra calls it!

It does look like a sea urchin and I thought, when I first looked, you were going to do something with eggs. These are very pretty.
