Getting back into the swing...

Boy! It seems like such a long time since I've posted and I guess it is.
I've done a lot of crafts since my health has got back to normal. YAH!
I have finished this pretty beauty...
And instead of using the pieces I had, altering the pattern and assigning a generic name....I've found out this pattern is called "SISTERS CHOICE" . Wow, I was dumbfounded.
I have made 19 new dolls but only 4 different kinds. I need to dress 2 of them so they will be upcoming.
I had a urge to oil paint and I've since started a large themed  photo of a mama elephant with her baby. Elephants capture my attention no matter what they are the subject of. I think they are complex and amazing in their quiet and under spoken hierarchy ways of living.
I have finished this dedication to my cancer embroidery sampler, only needing to hand stitch the border and quilt my lines.I have seen lots of family in the last year, three of my nieces have had babies of their own and my sister was seriously sick but is much better now.
Madame continues to dance, cheer and go to school, she has grown in the last two years.
Oh, my husband and I built this,
He has always promised me one and now it is TRUE! Next will be the orchard.
Lastly, on a sad note...my companion of fifteen and a half years passed.

What a triumphant dog he was. C & G Design

Out on a whim

I know my husband can fall for alot of telemarketing....I know this, so considering this, I monitor everything that occurs by mail or by phone. Is that bad!?
Anyway, this cute little tablet we received for free!
Last May we were mailed a short, postcard flyer simply stating, "Come to our meeting (such and such date) and get a droid tablet just for showing up!"
We bit, or should I say....my husband bit.
He called and put our names on the "list."
Right away we know this is about buying into time shares, which really are not time shares anymore....you purchase points and use them whenever, where ever. As long as you have enough. It is a much better program but, really...not for us. My husband blurted right away that, "we are RV ers." I wanted to crawl under the rug. We collected our droid tablet and went home. It was nice to go out just him and I, and the restaurant we ate at gave us a senior citizen discount! Guess the grays work for something.
No sure how I really feel about that. C&G Design

Banking on it

Gee, last week I missed the raggedy Wednesday post. By the time the day rolled around I felt as if I were missing something and sure enough....it was my posting.
Well anyway, here we are one week later.
.
I picked up this cute bank and a large, I mean LARGE
yard sale set up at a local fairground twice a year. It was the first time we attended this event and since then we have gone back 2 more times. I found Ann for 8 dollars and was so excited!

Also finding Andy at an inside flea market for 5 dollars  made my week.
Both are hard plastic money banks and both have their original plugs. Yee haw!

Still here! See Visitors Day

Hey, hey! I'm still here! Ha, just being procrastinating with blogging, although I miss it a lot.
A blogging friend, Debbie, call me earlier this week and she inspired me to get back to posting. I mentioned I needed to charge my tablet each week to get done some writing while I waited for my daughter to finish dance and by George!....I finally did it!
But the story of my tablet will have towait until another day, but since we are on the subject of my daughters dance class though, check out these nice pictures from last years visitors day.
"First position, please...."
"Downsy, daisy...."
"Upsy, daisy...."
"Turnsy roundsy, daisy...."
"Finally, tip toe through the tulips...!"
My daughter really likes these next photos,
she thinks they are artsy.
Looks like feet to me.....
Ha! They are nice though.
I'm glad I took them.
"Toe stand! Toe stand!!!! Little more...."
"Good!" Teacher says good.
"Second position...."
"Second position with arms....."
Lastly, two jazz dance shots, which the teacher allows her to take the hair down.
She is happier then ever I did not allow her to cut it like she want to a year ago.
Stay tuned for raggedy Wednesday. C&G Design
