Mother Goose

I've been jumping around really bad lately but it's only because I can't wait until my studio is done. Today I wanted to finish Humpty Dumpty but do ya think I could find the eyes??? Noooo. Then I picked up my scrap quilt....but couldn't find the rotary cutter, bummer....I just had those things this winter. I cleaned them up and now they are in a box. I've moved so many boxes it's hard to tell which one and I'm tired of opening them all up, grrr!
Anyway I picked up this cute little crib quilt I bought blank from a yard sale. I had this much done awhile ago and it was sitting on my table until Madame spilt a drink on it. My husband rushed and rinsed it out. This is Mother Goose.

She will be cute.

The Elder Humpty Dumpty

Yes! A few posts ago I wrote about my newest being, it is Humpty Dumpty but the elder one....you know the one with the beard and has to younger one sitting on his knee??? Hopefully he has a good handle on the little guy! Anyway, I dug out the mohair again, gosh....I love that stuff! I decided the easier way to make a beard without stray hairs falling out, is to hot glue the inside of a knot. It worked real well and the beard stays put but I'm plus a blister. I never escape burn free....ha!
I glued my knots in groups of six because they seem to stable better by being short. Besides, if you look closer at Mr Egghead you will be able to see a pencil line for the beard, it's not a straight line.

My husband told me he looks like Santa but I think he looks like Yukon Cornelius from Rudolph the red nosed-reindeer. What do ya think?
He is sitting on plastic because I just sprayed water on his beard in order to curl it up again. The pin is holding down the small piece of mohair covering where the mustache meets and there is a hint of a nose!

A Childhood Friend-Part 1

Sometimes I get a idea in my head and I won't stop thinking about it until I make it, this is one of those projects. Quick, easy and cute. Color makes it all. It didn't take long to stitch up the required pieces, course I had to throw some ironing in there also, ha!

Then I dug out the ole' aquarium fish rocks (clean!) He needs weight, I think.....

All arms and legs....

Do you know? Can you guess?

This will be a relative to that guy. C&G Design
