Quilt a Pillow

Did you ever hear of quilt a pillow? Well, Madame got one of those kits.... They're pretty neat. The fabric has pre-punched holes in the places where the learner is to stitch, the center is joined (quilting) and wa-la! Done.

Felt Ornaments-Butterfly

After much debate, I decided on the good ole' reliable butterfly as my last ornament for this year. Yeah! Yeah! I had many of a close inspection of Madame's wall decorations before I came up with something I enjoy.
It took on a life of it's own at this point,
spots and antennas, my flutter by is biggest of all in the set, not by much though.
Done, done, hands and palms pumping air, ya-ah, woo-hoo! C&G Design.

Fabulous Blog Award!

Kathleen over at Rural Maine Life has given me "Your Blog is Fabulous" award, she is a wonderful lady with wonderful postings on both her blogs.

Now I'm to tell you five things I'm addicted to:

1. Vintage dolls-Lots of lost dolls in attics, thrift shops, yard sales, and flea markets. I'm always as giddy as a kid in a candy store when I'm rescuing a past beloved toy.

2. Blueberry bagels with cream cheese-Goodness! I know this is a no-no, but with any other breakfast I'm starving by 10:30.

3. The many events my children do-Dance, football, piano, baseball, etc. Both my children have come into their own each year, and it gets better each and every year.

4. Forensics-I consistently get a dose of TruTV each day. (is that bad?) I enjoy watching specialist figure things out by using exact science.

5. My hot melt glue gun-Can't leave home with out it!

Now on the listing the blogs I'm addicted too, they are deserving of a fabulous award and can pass it on the other fabulous bloggers:

I want to make honorable mention about the dutchlady, I've been a long time commenter on her post, she is very creative and has wonderful pictures of Taiwan on her blog. Recently she has had to take a hiatus, let our prays and best wishes be with her in this time of need.

Dollhouse doings

I snapped this picture in the summer, madame was having a quiet moment at the residence of the dollhouse, she even moved the stool out of her room. Santa brought her a dollhouse kit this Christmas, it's called the Newberg and it has it's windows, trim and shingles.

Hopefully she won't sneak in things like a bunny! C&G Design

Enjoying color in winter

I'm always watching my beautiful Hydrangea bush for it's lovely flowers. I can tell when the summer season is going, the color in my bush starts to change. This year I managed to clip and arrange about 40 flowers in a basket for my formal living room. I tried to capture the beauty of the colors the Pee Gee bush gets, mostly pink.

Thrown in are some pink Autumn Joy and purple wild Asters. Waiting for winter to end, meanwhile enjoying the colors of a summer's end.

They're Baaaccckk!

Although I don't think they ever left, just on vacation for a month.

This past Wednesday ushered in another 4 inches of snow....it also collected up my hardy bunch of blue jays. They hopped around the trees nearest the house, dive bombing the peanut tray until I noticed, and figured they were hinting.
This one has snow stuck to it's beak! I found the more the snow covered the peanuts, the more of a mess they made! Scattering the peanuts everywhere.

This is a second helping and when my hubby got home, they had a third helping!

I stood for a while at my door to get the close-ups, it was worth it as the delay in my camera caught this one ready to leave with it's treasure.
