Enjoying color in winter
I'm always watching my beautiful Hydrangea bush for it's lovely flowers. I can tell when the summer season is going, the color in my bush starts to change. This year I managed to clip and arrange about 40 flowers in a basket for my formal living room. I tried to capture the beauty of the colors the Pee Gee bush gets, mostly pink. Thrown in are some pink Autumn Joy and purple wild Asters. Waiting for winter to end, meanwhile enjoying the colors of a summer's end.Join us at Beverly's. C&G Design

They are beautiful Dawn! I save my blooms too. Did you know Michaels sells a 'mist' aerosol that you can use to paint the florals? I've tried it and it works great. They have tons of colors. I actually need to paint some now. Hmmmm. It is rainy today so maybe I need to do that.
Dawn, a couple of years ago I cut off all my dead blooms and used some old red spray paint and gave them all a good coat. They were so pretty! I stuck them down in the dirt in big wooden containers by the side of my entrance, and everybody who visited stopped to look and compliment. It was funny when people said, I have never seen that particular color before but must have it! Where in the world did you get them? Hydrangeas are just beautiful and amazingly sturdy. Mine naturally are lavender. I like your pink ones, of course!

Very pretty Dawn. Happy pink day.
Beautiful job of arranging the pretty pinks!
I wonder if you can save Vibirum (spelling?) Snowball bush blooms?
I love hydrangeas! I have several bushes in my yard, however they are blue. I dried a few this year for the first time.
Happy PINK SATURDAY!
I adore hydrangeas, but we can't grow them here. Happy Pink Saturday.

I love hydrangea PeeGee!!! I wish I could grow it here but I can't. Nice of you to share it so we can all enjoy it.

What woman with a brain dosen't love hydreangeas? Yours are just lovely. My talented sister has a green thumb and grows them every year. Alas..I am not handy with plants....but I keep trying. Are you bracing for the col spell coming? THey are predicting down to 2o degrees below zero, for some nights next week, here in the North Woods. BRRRRRR Hugs Kathleen
It is coming your way from down south. So far our temperature has dropped 15 degrees in two hours!
I'm drooling!! Very pretty.
I love Hydranga's... my grandmother had bushes all around her little Arkansas cottage. Thanks for posting such pretty pics of them!
thanks for stopping by French Lique too! I couldn't resist putting the sanitized tapeworm ad in my pink post... just too funny not to share with my pink gal-pals!
have a blissful weekend! Dixie
Ugh, Jack of all Trades is going to be busy, me too! Full moon makes it somehow feel colder.
I didn't know that about the misting paint, I'll have to check it out, and Skeeter, yes, you can save the snowball blooms, that' what I had before my hydranga. They both do well.
I love hydrangeas, very pretty.
Have a Blessed and Happy weekend,
Virginia
