I was browsing my craft books this week and I came across one of my favorites. It's a Super Scrap how to from the early eighties (goodness, where did the time go!) I consider it one of my favorites because it makes use of things from nature, check out this painting done with flower petals. Isn't the vase gorgeous? Such texture.
The book also has this perfect pink jewelry made from bread dough, although today we would use Fimo or Sculpey. Back in the eighties, this set would be everyday ordinary wear. I think it has a heirloom quality to it, remember the hair combs?

Ah, the eighties, I rmember it well. I just love the pink rose jewelry, and those hair combs. I rmember trying to wear them in my hair...but my hair is so fine, they would never stay in. I can't believe that wreath! Gorgeous! Stay warm, baby it's cold outside, and going to get colder. Hugs my friend
I was still wearing hair combs in the 90's! Still have some in the drawer too. I am so not fashionable with the times. tee hee...
A cupcake wreath! How cleaver and how do people come up with such things? Would you make me one but put the cakes in it please...
Happy Pink Day!
Those look like some fun pink projects!

Wow, wow, wow!!! When I saw the vase and flowers I fell in love but by the time I got done, I could not pick a favorite. They are all so gorgeous. What creative minds some people have.
Pretty pinks! Happy Pink Saturday.

I love your pink pretties Happy pink Saturday
I love the wreath. My mom used to make similar wreaths for Christmas but with wrapped hard candy...we got to eat the wreath, piece by piece. Unfortunately, she often used cinnamon candies, probably because they were red and cinnamon candies are really not THAT appealing to a little girl...or a big girl for that matter.
Happy Pink Saturday!
Erin :)
Love that muffin cup wreath...too cute! Happy PInk Saturday!
You gotta love the cupcake liner wreath. So cute, I think I would try that. I hope you are having a great pink Saturday!

Loved all your posts..and specially the dough art roses. They're so pretty and so much fun to make. Happy Pink Saturday and have a lovely week.
Oh boy do I ever remember those combs. What I recall is that I could hardly ever get them to stay put in my hair!
That was a fun memory. And, I do remember those. I loved wearing combs in my hair, and I believe I may still have some of mine.
Happy Pink Saturday, Dawn.
Duh me! I forget to comment yesterday. 50 lashes with a spagetti noodle okay? I must do something with my blog sidebar sometime. I love that jewelery! Made with bread dough? The next time I come please show it to me. I do remember the combs. I bought one at the big show factory last summer I think it was. Mom was joking it was not old only from the 70s. I just smiled then she realized-yup pretty old.
What a wonderful trip down memory lane! I clearly remember the 80's, the hair combs, bangs, layering socks, bangle bracelets, etc. The jewelry is very pretty in your photo and I love the wreath. Thanks for sharing.
Loretta
Didn't you just LOVE the eighties!
I remember all of the accessories we used to make for our hair - your picture of the hair combs brings back memories.
Remember the scrunchies? :-)
Thanks for stopping by to say hi on Saturday!
Blessings,
Kymber
I hope you will forgive me for being very, very late to your pink post!! I will have to look for that book. I love that wreath. I can't believe it's made from cupcake papers. It would be so cute for a baby shower or birthday party!
