I should of waited for yesterday's post and put it together for today's post, like a before and after. But, I wasn't looking towards doing these cute little houses so soon, especially with the kids having off from school today (Monday). They only attend 15 whole days this month...
The houses turned out pretty well. As usual I wasn't sure what would come out of my creativity until it came right down to it and it's going to be the whimsical, for a small snicker theme that grabbed me. It didn't help Madame was doing her own birdhouse and she egged me on.
My husband still needs to drill ventilation holes for good air circulation and then we will be able to find a hanging tree. The Internet has the optimum tree being a birch or a beech and we have plenty of both.
I'm still contemplating painting "cheep" under the perch of both houses. Ha! C&G Design

The houses looks sweet. I'm sure the birds would love 'em and make 'em their homes soon! Good luck!
Yes, go ahead and paint cheep. Too cute!
Those will look great hanging outside. They're really cute.

Lol, why not. I think it's great. They sure turned out great. What bird wouldn't want it's home in them.
Wow...you did a great job Dawn! I love the little sayings on each one. What a difference a nice coat of paint and some design make. The older I get, the more I tend to fix things insteadof throwing them out. I got a metal patio table from a friend. He was taking it to the dump. I rescued it and gave it a coat of paint...voila! Of course it needs another new coat this year! Oh Dawn I love those little Chicadees too. Don't they sound like they are saying Chicadee-dee-dee?
My vote goes for Cheep! They are too pretty to hang outside, lol...
Beautiful little bird homes!!
Great job, I love em and bet some little feathered pretties (oh dear is that a word?) will also.
I have been watching a falco that has a webcam on her 24/7. She is sitting on 4 eggs. She is here in Maine somewhere. I am upset that they will no doubt hatch when I am gone down south. :( If you go to BioDiversityResearch.com you will see her or him. The male and female share the sitting.
Oh darn I said the wrong thing. To watch the Peregrine Falcons go to briloon.org. They also have cameras on the Bald Eagles which are making their next now. The Ospreys are not on yet but will be.
They turned out very nice. Bet you will have visitors shortly.
