Raggedy Andy music box

Yeah! It's Wednesday again, middle of the week, and the day devoted to Raggedy Ann and her family. I don't know if I'll be able to do it every Wednesday but I'll try, I'm starting with last weeks addition that I picked up from a yard sale. The close picture is not that great. My camera blurs quite a bit on zoom especially photographing small things.

I'm not sure the manufacturer because it's not marked, he is a music box. I tried to clean him up as much as possible but as you can see some of the paint was affected, not much though, he came with a lot of wear on the base. A collectible just the same, no cracks and chips.

You can see Andy's edition is in respect to the Bicentennial year of 1976 and he plays "Yankee Doodle went to town". Every note plays and he rotates perfectly.

I found Andy in one of my books. Rather than doing the post over, I chose to include the information. Ann and Andy were sold as a pair made by the Bobbs-Merrill., Inc in 1975. Ann plays "Your a Grand Old Flag". I'm not a expert but valve is estimated at $50.00 each in good condition.

I love music boxes. Now that we baby boomers are getting older, this stuff is getting more valueable. Even from such years as the 1970s. Nice box for sure.

It's too cute, all their things are to cute. I know feel old sometimes esp when I go into a shop and the seventies are "vintage" Just was at a nice antique mall where one booth was devoted to that.

He is so cute and it was a good find for sure. Maybe someday you will find the matching Ann. How great would that be?!!

Hope Jack's hand feels better but it probabaly won't for a few days.

He stayed home today and is doing the burn pile since we had 3 days of rain and some tom. We have the carb to the tiller, he wants to plant the back yard with grass, probably this weekend.

How cute! I still have a wind up music box from when I was young. It has a little girl giving a cat a bath in a wash tub! Imagine that, a Cat in a wash tub! Not gonna happen with my girls! LOL...

Hi guys, Skeeter your music box sounds cute, and no way for my kitties too, although my coon loves to be shaved, rolls over from side to side for it!
DP, I'm going to try to do my best with Ann and Andy, there is ALOT to them and it's a world everyone likes.
