A quick repair

It's that time of year here in Maine, time to spend every waking moment in the yard, garden, porches and just outside in general.
I wish I had more of my floor cloth to show you today but over the weekend we tilled the veggie garden and I decided to work with the bulbs, roses and flowerbed, it included all the necessary repairs to benches, fences and birdhouses.
These pears spent most of their time on the stairs of my mobile home, they apparently were waiting for me to hang them up and now is the time. I love my little black capped chickadees, which is the state bird, and I'm hoping they will see fit to nest in these pears, but time to waterproof! Drill air holes for ventilation, and repaint. Aren't they cute? they were given to me when Madame was in girl scouts, they had extra and didn't want to lug them home.

My cats had better behave. C&G Design

Very nice! I hope you have some sweet birds nest in them. I've never found a chickadee nest here. I was thinking of the birds and their nests I've not found and that was one. I've found: cardinals, robins, hummers, finches, sparrows, titmouse, bluebirds and they are all neat.

That is a quaint birdhouse. I've never seen one like that. I hope you get lots of chickadees. I'd be happy to get a bluebird.

The chickadees have been scoping out one of the gourd houses. I love the little things and hear one chatting as I type with the window open now! How ironic is that! You should have no problems getting them in these pears as they look like a perfect spot to call home.... Back away from the Pears Kitties…

Well you were lucky to fall heir to those cute birdhouses. I so love the chickadees..We get a lot of em and they come to the feeder on my window which is great cause with my eyes I have trouble seeing them at the feeding station 6 feet from the window. Here's hoping they nest in the pears for you.
