Moonbeams

I think if I could....I'd corner the market on free moonbeams. Glorious moonbeams that happen twelve times a year. I've learned to remind anyone close to me to look towards the sky's and pick a star for the loved one/pet that has gone to the heavens. The vast world of space has fascinated myself, scientist and astrologist for several centuries and has been the subject of poets. Does anyone really know what's out there? Do the formation of stars and the line-up of the zodiacs mean anything? A dreamy state of a bright circular globe in the sky, it represents so much to many different people, nature camping, marriage proposals, cruise ship vacations, cozy fire pits, and to me.....the imaginary state of something beyond. I could live with the full moon forever.

I love this post! At first I thought you were posting on coreopsis moonbeam but I can tell you I like the moon moonbeams better. Hope your computer is working soon. I fixed mine all by myself (I hope!)

Got it going. I know, this pic is from my deck, the moon was soooo pretty and I'm quite shocked it photographed. Usually I can't get the dark sky that well.

Oh my this is a very cute post and very thought provoking. Dawn you seem to keep amazing me. How can you be my daughter and I not know you were that interested in the outer space area. My goodness.

Jean, I take it you dont like outer space! LOL, I am not much into Sci-Fi movies but am curious about what is out there. Little Green men scare the dickens out of me though so I dont spend much time on this subject.. LOL...

Dawn, until I enlarged the picture and saw the leaves from the tree in front of the moon, I thought this was a Jack-O-lantern!

Good topic, I love a full moon...
My dad and I always write each other an email just before the full moon asking each other when it is. He usually beats me to the punch. Time just flies as to how quickly that moon goes from a Palmetto moon to a Full round glowing ball!

*note, since living so close to S.C. we now call a quarter moon a Palmetto moon due to their State flag….

Skeeter the outer space does intrigue me but like all things I have no control over I really do not spend much time on it. As far as sci-fi it DOES NOT interest me at all. Too far fetched. But I do like a pretty moon and stars. I also LOVE the Northern Lights but not so sure that would be outer space even if it does look that way.

This talk reminds me of a funny story. We were in town one day when the twins were small. There was a building downtown that was empty with a big sign in the window that said SPACE FOR RENT and a phone number. Elizabeth started jumping and wiggling and searching and yelling for a pen or pencil. I asked her what she needed a pen or pencil for. She responded "Cause I wanna to in space". She wanted to write that number down. The way she was moving it looked like she was having a seizure. She was so disapointed when I explained the sign. Don't think she will ever go in space but she is an air traffic controller.

Hi guys,
Skeeter, your so right! It does look like a jack-o-lantern!
Mom, I don't know why I amazed you with this post. I've always liked the moon and sky, stars. I think I wrote this with the left side of my brain! Not being to creative.
