Getting Close!

I got to see the dress rehearsal on this day, yeh, yeh! The big day is drawing near and everyone is a hub-bub of season spirit.
The rumor is....it will be broad casted on our PBS station. Madame getting fitted in her pants.....
And her jacket. BTW out of 24 soldiers Madame came in at the smallest, she wasn't exactly excited about it but it made it easy to fit her! That's why she is at the wall....end of the height line!

The next two pictures are of the dress rehearsal, they are cropped due to other people's children, and they are lightened. Madame got a chance to see Clara, the star of Nutcracker, do her thing.

While she paid attention to her part! Switching her gun back and forth!

Getting close! Jitters are yet to come! C&G Design.

Wow, look at those long legs!! A model is born.

BTY, have you gotten the tickets and to which one will we be going to and how much were the tickets?
Also, where will we meet up? Are you guys coming down for Thanksgiving?

Mom, Yes I got the tickets, orchestra seating in the last row so you can get access, ground floor.
I'll catch up with you on the other details, don't know what we are doing besides having my teeth out at the end of the week. Ugh, any guesses how long it hurts? Wisdom teeth? Anyone? Gotta joke 'bout it!

Madame looks just lovely! I remember going to see the nutcracker as a child - I loved it so much. I have rather vague memories - the soldiers, and mice maybe? And lots of glittery fabric. My husband is from Maine (Surry - near Ellsworth and Blue Hill) and we lived there for a year - it was so beautiful! Thanks for stopping by...yes, that's quite awful about the fainting couches. Those are the things I have to remind myself of when I start thinking I should have been born back in the days of yore...

Hi blackeyedsuzie, I love your work and what a coincidence about living in Maine! I know the area, it's real pretty. Yep, soldiers and mice. (those teenaged mice enjoy their part, way tooo much)! LOL

Hi blackeyedsuzie and welcome to Dawn's (my daughter) blog. The Ellsworth area is very nice. Dawn lives in western Maine and I am in southern Maine but Ellsworth is about half way between me now and where I was brought up. I was brought up in "the other Maine or God's country". Calais, so I am a true downeaster! Do you come back back to Maine often?

Oh, one more thing about getting the wisdom teeth out.
Dont go water skiing the day after! Just ask the Saint about that one. He was 24 years old, what can I say. Duh......That is pain he will never forget....
