I would dare say your taped, sturdy, sizable box could be as large as you want it to be. Mine is 14'' long, 9'' wide and 5 '' deep, I've committed myself to stick within only what that will hold. I have gone beyond that though.....not for long, then I'm doing some do dad....
Anyway, getting back to storage, notice the peculiar shaped cut opening of my box? This part is ingenious, it holds a beading tray of sorts. You can see it below.
My insert has varying sized holders, it's great when working on a multiple beaded project, it's easy to have what you need right at reach and separated. One box, one container, one thing right at reach. I imagine one could use this for buttons, odds from jewelry, decals, or any combo of all three!
The tray smacked me in the face on the day I couldn't find what I needed. I saw something out of nothing.....my tray insert is actually a plastic placer from a Hickory Farms gift basket!
I spray painted the underside white so I could see my items better. C&G Design

Great reuse of an ordinary that would've been added to the dump.
What an idea! Craft storage..yup, that's what I'm talking about. I have a bunch of little this and thats, which this will be perfect for. Thanks Dawn....and, uh, are you ready for another storm or two? Hugs, Kathleen
That tray is cleaver recycling Dawn! I can see where the meats and cheese wheels were once held. lol... Great idea!
Yup, great recycling!! I love the plastic tackle boxes for all sorts of craft stuff. They are so much cheaper in the sporting goods dept. than the craft dept. Also have more sizes in sporting goods.
I love the tackle boxes for storage. We used one for storing all of my daughter's Polly Pocket accessories and another for stamping supplies, etc....That's great how you re-used the Hickory Farms tray!!
