Pink Saturday Paints

I was recently reading a book on acrylic painting and I was surprised to find you can get a watercolor look with a specific technique. I'm not a foremost painter, I have my accents I can use and get by with. This sounds simple, wet paper (soaked) with 6 parts water to 1 part acrylic paint.

As the painting dries, you can add layers. For example: it has a damp stage where color will slightly run the outline.

I'm under the impression this is a quick method of creating beautiful works of art.

The book also talks about loading you brush properly, that hasn't changed.

I haven't attempted this kind of painting but I plan to. Cheaply comes to mind, no canvas as you really can't wet a canvas. Regular craft paints will do too!

This dolly tea party is to cute for words.

Here we see the driest point of painting, the last stage.

But look at the marvelous blending, effortless.

The end result is spectacular.

That type of painting looks very hard. Do let us know how it goes and I bet you'll be able to do it easily. T-storms here so of course Bella had to get me up. She is determined to teach the thunder a lesson by barking and jumping at it. Crazy dog. Second night this week-no sleep with her around. I should lock her up in the garage but I'm afraid she'll tear it up. Urrr!

Looks like fun. I don't know how hard it would be, do you start with a pattern? I tend to need something to follow along with or look at, my skills are not great in the paint department!

Happy Pink day and have a great weekend!

Well, I can't paint anything at all so I'm impressed with everything. Watercolors have become a favorite so these look terrific!

I like that type of painting. It's so soft and dreamy like.

I have read the post of the Horseman doll and thank goodness that lady put the doll back on the shelf! Great find indeed!
