Ceramic plaque-Ann

Did I mention I need to transform my book nook into a Raggedy Ann and Andy corner? Yep, I've collected far to many items to spread it out through the house, there will be a corner for my two favorite pancake dolls.

This little ceramic plaque of Ann must be homemade, she has no markings and is unusual with her brunette hair. She isn't very cute but recognizable just the same. She'll be in the book nook more than likely hung over a window. C&G Design.

I just love ceramics. Still have a soft spot for them after all I collected from Aunt Marion over the year. Can't ever bear to get rid of them. I guess my kids will have them one day and I hope they like them.

I can remember making them but I don't have any left. Kitty broke and I don't remember about the little dish. Probaly ran away with the spoon! Ha, ha, I tend to laugh at my own jokes...just me. As z said.

None from Aunt Marion? Oh dear. I broke many of mine but still have several. Sure you don't have some? At least you have Raggedy Ann.

I think she is cute but not as cute as some of the others but would be if she had red hair. Just something about the red hair!!

Tina, your other sisters did not have as many of the ceramics from Aunt Marion as you did. They, for the most part only had what they made when we went to her place. Because she was your Godmother, you usually always got ceramics from her on birthdays and Christmas. The one time I remember you did'nt get something she had made was the year she got you all the tea set for Christmas from her.

I know at least one of you still have the tea set. They were very pretty tea sets.

I think she looks like a Gingerbread Ann!

Mom, I know I got more ceramics but thought Dawn had a few too. Oh well. I don't still have my tea set. It got lost somewhere along the way as I haven't seen it in years.

I may have something in the boxes that were in the kids closet, but I know the kitty broke.
Janet sent me hand knitted sweaters each year for Christmas, beautiful work but alway a year behind in size. :(
I saw the same set at a flea mkt, still kicking myself for not getting it
Skeeter, I never thought but she does like gingerbreadish!
Ugh, awful dance class! Regular teacher has calf injury so the had a french, very snappy, very pushing teacher tonight. More than one girl crying.

Yup, Dawn, your godmother was always knitting and made gorgeous things. As for the size, she probably went by her kids size as my kids and hers were born at the same time (we also got engaged and married at the same time). Trouble being, she had 4 boys and I had 4 girls and when young, boys are usually smaller. But she went on to have a 5th and got her girl. She waits till then to have me be a godmother. No boys at all for me!!! I thought you did get a few ceramics from her as she was also always doing them as her mother had a ceramic business like Aunt Marion.
