Redwork-block 10, Squirrel

Alright, I'm not fond of this creature but it's one of God's so there is a place for it, somewhere...Just as in real life as in this particular red work, I had a hard time dealing with this....this...pattern. I printed it from a different site, one that doesn't allow to size???? What's with that? Anyway, half the picture got cut off and I had to add it myself. It came out quite large in comparison to my fabric.

Whoa! I'll have to be careful when I sash this one! C&G Design

Okay, I know they are destructive - but I love squirrels. Love them. I've had 2 in my life. They were so cheeky and cuddly. They kind of hummed - I didn't keep them locked up btw, they were free. I rescued them as babies, fed them, and released them. They'd hang out with my cats, sit on my shoulder, and close their eyes in ecstasy as I pet them. It was always a sad day when then no longer came to sit on the porch. But a proud one too as I knew they'd acclimated into the wild where they belonged... see how you inspired me to remember? Thanks,

xJ

They are cute. It also reminds me of the days when we had them as pets. They do go to the wild easily.

They are cute and I feed them but I also know they can cause a lotta havoc.

Oh, a squirrel! Kris' Phil at Vintage Window loves squirrels and has a blog dedicated to them. Wouldn't that be a great present? A squirrel pillow, quilt or throw! His blog is a hoot! (oh, that's an owl word, well, what ever a squirrel would say under the circumstances.)

I have a squirrel that comes to my bird feeder every day. All I have to say is, "it's Mr Squirrel", and my cat comes running. They stare at each other for a few seconds, and then the squirrel goes right back to eating the peanut butter delight in the suet feeder. He's cute though! Have a grea week-end, Dawn, hugs, Kathleen
