Redwork-block 5, Ladybug

Whoops, this one was so quick, I forgot to take progression pictures. Well, you get the gist anyway. I've put a few insects in this project because they (most) are Madame's favorites. When she was a toddler she'd scream to the high heavens if even a ant got on her, and black fly season? Forget it! Her scream were so loud, it'd scare you. Her brother's friend have rescued her, teachers, and people on the playground have killed a few bugs in Madame's way, once their heart dropped back out of their throat, that is.

The lady bug is the first insect I managed to get her to like, I found an orange beetle without spots and told her, he was looking to get dressed. She mustered a small amount of courage to look at it, it enjoying the flower box, minding it's own business. When Madame decided it didn't want to sting her, fly in her face, get caught in her hair, and generally dive bomb her being...she liked them. The rest is history. Although she has never has forgotten that day.

Thank goodness, C&G Design.

Hopefully Madame is over her fear of bugs now. She'd never make a good gardener and you'll need her help in that veggie garden:)

These have got to be the cutest desgins I have ever seen. Just when I think I have decided which is the cutest, another adorable critter arrives. I hear we are in for a spell of rain (groan) Hugs, Kathleen

Another cute one. I love lady bugs anyway.

Kathleen, the weather does not sound too pleasent for sure but the radish, carrots and onions I planted last week probably could use some rain.

Your Lady Bug got a chuckle out of me today! My dad and I play a bug game with each other, I have talked about it before so you know the deal. We hide bugs for each to find later on when not expecting it. The Lady Bug is our Special bug and she is always in the game when no other bugs are around.

Madame must get over her fear of bugs to become a gardener like her mommy! But all it takes is one bug to destroy a lifetime of trying to teach one they are not to be feared. Like that one wasp sting or constant mosquito bite. ARgggg...
