Redwork-block 8, Lion

This is one of my husband's favorite animals, he likes big cats. Madame does too for that matter, why else would she be crazy over wearing leopard print? I've been trying to do the inside lines and the faces with my first go around in threading (Ha! "color inside the lines"). The mane had me a little baffled, since these are coloring pages, would his mane work up in outline stitching? And would it make sense.

Yep, he looks like 'King of the animals'

Second group of four blocks done, 3 more groups to go! C&G Design

Love the big cat motif - great pictures on the previous post with Madam, I love the back shots they are so artless! xJ

Ah, the big cats are my favorite also. That would go to stand since I have two big black cats in the house with me. One is currently lying on the desk as I type... Meow...

He does look like the majestic king that he is.

I love cats big, and small...they pretty much all act the same. I am so enjoying sharing the process of this project with you. Thank you for taking us along. Hugs, Kathleen

Oh I love that lion Dawn! You do such great work as usual! What will you do with all of these? Do you frame them or make quilt with them? I am sure you have already expounded on that and I missed it. It's hard to play catch up on the blogs when you get away from them like I have done lately! I love coming here though. There is something so soothing about your blog.:)
