African American Raggedy Ann

I had a inquiry on Etsy this week, it was about my African American Raggedy Ann, the perspective buyer wanted to see some pictures of her. It occurred to me during this photography session, that I had not featured them! I opted to not forward this photo because I'm still getting use to the camera settings with the different lighting. All the photos were taken in late evening when the sun was barely visible from my skylights and this photo picked up the red focus dot, Ann looks severely sunburned!

Ah, much better. I can tell I didn't send the first photo because the next photos were shrunk to blog size using my hp image zone. Seems Etsy is telling my my photo files are to large now!? Go figure, I'm not sure what I've done differently except a different camera.

I love the hair on this Ann, I used a chunky yarn and it really shows the layering. I think I'll do the same for the redheads, least a few.

Well, my would be buyer purchased another doll she "couldn't resist" in the time it took me to unpack this couple, get the photos and send them. It took about a hour and all the while I was thinking that might be the case.
Got to get that craft room done! C&G Design

I am way behind reading your blog...we went to Rockland on Sunday, and then on Monday set up our booth at the antique mall in Brewer. Yesterday my husband was packing up and getting loaded for a run to California. I love the gingerbread men tags. That ribbon is just delicious. The dolls are adorable. At the auction last week, my husband went a little crazy (I should leave him home) and bid and won a box of old dolls. I am going to take pics, and email them to you. If there are any dolls, or parts of dolls you would like, I will ship them to you. Enjoying the weather? Big hugs, Kathleen

How cute! I spotted some in a darker face and arm color with deeper redish hair in a discount store recently. I sure thought about you and do every time I see a Ann and Andy...

It's lovely! I do like the texture in the yarn and doing all the hair this would way would be great.

Oh Dawn, How sweet are they? Just precious. You have the patience of Jobe to be able to sew dolls. I just cannot do it anymore. Love the hair. Are you going to try blondes next? They would sale. Stop by and say hi. Country Hugs, Sherry

So sales you win and some you loose. I am not doing as well on Etsy as locally. Guess it just takes time to get it going. I have noticed if I take the picture to not have to crop the size it too large for their requirements. I have to take it and crop to make the file small enough for them.
