Two New Shelves

A few of my reader may remember a post I wrote entitled, A word about wrought iron. I wrote it in August of 2008 and to me it seems like yesterday. Anyway, it's a good post and if you have the chance you can view it by clicking on the link.Today's post is about two new shelves I'm adding to the master bath. Well, they will be new-like when I'm done because each one has age and wear and rust on them. That never stopped me though, with the right tools they will be helped. My husband did most all of the prep work, he used a drill with some sort of wire brush attachment. I was impressed! It cut sanding time down to minutes! And the shelf down to metal (or tin, or iron). We primed them and used flat black with a clear sealer.
My poor deck has taken so much punishment this year, it has spots of different color paint on it. Between me and madame we have made the need for it to be re-painted this summer. *sigh, oh well*

I really need this rod shelf in the bathroom for face cloths and towels although I wished the shelf was a tad small so it would fit between the mirrors, it works.

And I guess my husband doesn't like the looks of this one over the toilet, we never noticed it was bent until it was placed on the wall. I guess he will have to fix it.

After all....he's the one that faces it more times in the day than I do! C&G Design

LOL! (last sentence) So, you are painting outside?

I love the black iron painted pieces. I have several to hang, where is the question. No, three years later and not all moved in.

Yes, our deck needs a paint job, too. Geesh, we have painted and painted and painted. Okay, my husband has done it. AND, he still manages to lay on the couch most of the time while I am busy working. Huh?

Super idea Dawn. I like the shelves between the mirrors. Can't tell the others are off.
