This is the year we decided that the spot for the tree is going to be in the hallway. Last year it was in the formal livingroom which we spend hardly no time in. This hallway, or pet room as I like to call it, is right next to the familyroom, we spend hours there. The tree will more than likely be there every year from now on. Did I mention it was easy peasy to move my plant stand? Here is hubs putting the skirt around the bottom of the tree, we just placed the lights and I want you to notice the square lights, aren't they cute? They are presents and I was only able to splurge on one string ($10.00 apiece), we laid them at a steepe angle on the tree so it would look somewhat jointed but random at the same time. Oh well! It works!

Dawn your tree is just magnificent. Those little square lights look like little lanterns, I just love them. How beautiful. Hmmm, cats and the ornaments. I know where you are coming from. I put the breakable ornaments towards the top, and the others towards the bottom. Well, Mr Ming has already broken one ornament, and I find at least one on the living room floor every morning. He also enjoys knocking over the figures in one of my nativiities. But, he loves Christmas just like we do. He loves sleeping under our tree. Do you think he thinks he is in the forest? Hugs, Kathleen
Good morning Dawn. Your tree is lovely. The square lights are unusual, I like them. Kitties think the trees are Christmas presents just for them to play on;)

Wonderful tree Dawn and the square lights caught my attention before I read one word.
Your tree looks beautiful!!
Beautiful tree Dawn!! As I write this, I hear my cat crying in the kitchen and she is batting something around she knocked off the tree! I have never seen the square lights but they look very pretty. I am laughing at what Kathleen wrote...my cat likes to sleep under our tree too!
Just a lovely tree! I agree pictures are challenging in the dark. Since sun is an infrequent visitor in Vermont, I am becoming more adept at using bright, sharpen, contrast and any other tricks I can find in Photoscape to simulate LIGHT! LOL!
Maybe it is time to turn that formal living room into...a dining room, library, or hobby room? People are doing this all the time now.
