It's Friendly Faeries, I tried for Grimm's fairy tales but only found sketches. This illustration is just inside the book cover.....
I'm guessing Sleepy, Happy and Doc....
This one demonstrates "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie pop?"
And a peaceful place.....
Back of the cover......flight of fantasy.
Drawn in 1919, the book ends with this illustration.

I think no matter what Johnny Gruelle drew, it was always fantastic. C & G Design.

Sweet book. Stuff I have always loved. Johnny wrote some Raggedy books or illustrated them?
Johnny was the one that invented Ann. He was a graphic artist, but made his wealth on Ann + Andy and friends, course he did it for his daughter.
Great book. Johnny sure brought a lotta smiles to many, many kiddos.
I was scrolling down to find Ann and Andy as it is Wednesday and did not see them. Then I read the posting... lol....
Great artwork in the book! I like that style....
Hi guys.
I wrote this posting when I thought, THOUGHT, I was running out of Ann & Andy. Since getting some of my crafts out of storage, I've discovered.....I'm all set for awhile! lol
