What is Pink Saturday?
My fairy name
Your fairy is called Oak Goblinfly
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in forests of oak and lime trees.
She is only seen at midday under a quiet, cloudless sky.
She decorates herself with leaves and berries. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
Pink Saturday again! My addition might be consider a unusual one.....two different things and both at opposite ends.I think this is a Ginger Jar from Japan. Hard to tell because it has no cover, that's long gone. Pretty.
I like this mod wig case, I use it with my doll collection as a spacious cubby for a few valuable dolls.
Maybe my two items are related.......
A hair receiver, and a doo keeper! C&G Design.

Hi Dawn, very nice, although the mod wig holder cracked me up, having lived through those mod years myself! HA I loved your embroidery clock and my Hazel cat looks just like your kitty too. She has exactly the same attitude about having her picture taken, they must be related!
They ARE related items if you're a gardener. That ginger jar would look cute with a plant in it. I suppose you'd need some gravel or marbles at the bottom. Then you could gather the dead leaves from your plant in the wig holder to be brought out to the compost pile.
Hair Receiver, now that is an item that you don't hear very often. I have a real one that belonged to Aunt Eva. It sits on a dresser in my bedroom and I love it and it also has pink on it. Now that ginger jar would make one LARGE hair receiver!!!
I am really late today. Sarah comes down on her days off and was here before I even got up today and after she left it was time to go sit with the cats and feed them so am just now getting online.
Hello Dawn! Thank you for visiting my blog on Pink Saturday. So nice to know you live in Maine too. I'm here in Millinocket in the "Shadow of Mt Katahdiin", which by the way ia all white with snow right now. I too, remember those mod days....Twiggy, English Rock bands, heavy eyeliner.....thanks for those memories...Kathleen

Dawn, that was cute. It is definitely either a ginger jar or a temple jar. It would look nice with a green plant in it.
Happy Pink Saturday.
I love the ginger jar..it's so pretty even minus the cover. Happy Pink Saturday..
I visited your sister's blog and saw the nice photo of the two of you. Lovely jar!! Take care~
