Remembering Vintage Sesame Street

Another year gone and another year ringing in. Hopefully 2009 will bring many happy wishes, abundant tidings, peace, love and joy. Most of all...future fun, careless celebrations and a deep zest for life, we all should be that way everyday.

I wanted to share this video from YouTube, it's pretty special to a lot of people judging by the comments that were posted with it. Enjoy, and remember how little you once were.

Happy New Year. C&G Design.

I remember the first episode of Seseme Street. Mom was peeling shrimp in the Linnhaven park and I was bugging her in the kitchen. She said, "Why don't you go watch the new show just coming on today?" It was kind of cool to me at the time, but I never really did get into Seseme Street. It wasn't until my kids watched it somewhat that I appreciated Seseme Street. Nice video and good job getting it on!

Sesame Street was one of my favorite shows when I was little. Grover, Cookie Monster, and Oscar the Grouch were a few of my favorite characters.

Oh my, that would have been great. But, we didn't have a tv till I was a senior in high school. Guess I didn't miss much as I had too much work that I had to do. Even with 3 brothers it seemed all we did was work.

Very cute and carefree and even the kitties enjoyed the tea party.

Wow Tina! Can't believe you would remember something like that.

Lola I think I was in 5th grade when we got our tv and we only had 1 channel and it came from St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. It came on at 6:am and signed of at midnight. Makes you wonder what the next 50 or 60 years will bring.

Hope all have a very happy and healthy coming new year. We will have a quiet evening at home. I do not like going out as there are too many drunks on the road. Christy, Heather and Sandra are going to Sarah's for the night.

Oh my, what memories that was! I had forgotten about the kitties crashing the tea party. Too cute and a fun way to learn. I watched Sesame Street every day for 7 straight years while working at the Day Care! I was 23 years old the last time I watched it but still loved the learning show! Thanks for the reminder of my youth Dawn.

Happy New Year to you too!!!
