Snow

We finally had our first snow storm, it came in Wednesday morning and snowed until well after midnight dumping a foot on my area of Maine. Most places received rain on top of everything but we didn't, it made it easier to plow...if there is such a thing. Back to shoveling 3 porches and one large deck.

The poor garden AND the tiller, hubs bad habit.

It's really pretty on the threes though. I enjoy it like this....with the bright sun shinning so fiercely it hurts your eyes.

There is a couple of birch trees in there somewhere.

This is winter in Maine.....

He will venture out in the white stuff but not for long, on this day we can find Woolly in the dark banished behind bars. Aw, he's so pretty and personable.

She doesn't care about the weather until spring. It's funny that when the white stuff flies she becomes a bound house cat.

Now where is the Siamese? She is nine years old and to my knowledge she hasn't walked in the cold snow....where could she be...not in her bed Madame has for her, oay vey. And the cat actually sleeps in it! Forget about the American girl dolls.
Do you know where she is?

Ah! Finally, and I see she has heard the news, careful your tears will freeze that way. C&G Design

We got a foot of snow and below zero temperatures. I don't blame the cats. If I didn't have to go out, I would stau inside 'til spring.

Funny!!!! The snow IS pretty when it is clean. But that is all the good I will say about it.

My Rascal kitty loves it outside but also stays in once it snows.

I just loved your post! The photo of the icicles is just beautiful. My cat likes to sneak out, but if it snows, he stops just as soon as his little feet touch the white stuff....he becomes paralyzed. Too funny. We didn't get any rain here either. Ah the way life should be....Hugs, Kathleen

I can't believe you got a foot!! Wow! We only got about 4 or 5 inches! That's crazy...and we are not that far from each other? I agree with Kathleen...the photo of the icicles is awesome! It looks like a piece of art...I'm not kidding...it's gorgeous!

Hey, there, Dawn! I'm not sure if we had a foot of snow or less, but my husband is on vacation until the end of the year, and all he has been doing is shoveling! I do have a walkway to the house, though. And, the front steps are cleared off, too. Usually, the plowing people do a poor job and I end up with just enough room for one foot all the way down and to the car. I'm loving this now.

Very pretty in Maine. And, my little dog is not that interested in leaving her cozy bed now, either. This could be bad!

Oh Dawn...
It is absolutely beautiful. I so love your snow. I know I don't have to live in it. It looks so clean and serene. I just love the peacefulness of it all. Everything is brushed white.

Thank you for sharing this beauty with me. I so love it.

Your kitties sure are beautiful, and the little woof, woof, he's pretty cute too. They love having their pics taken? My Bruiser always wants to look away.

Oh and I almost forgot. I love the Jack Frost icicles. So pretty.

Take care sweetie. Stop by soon. I so love it when you do.

Country hugs...Sherry
