Sock Doll

The cuteness of any doll maker is the sock doll, it's easy to make, all soft and snuggles and so many things can be done with one.

I had to wash my doll but you can see by the first photo how it comes to be a doll, the feet are the edging of the sock and the arms are what is removed in order to make legs, the heel is the behind. On this day I had to stitch the arms back on because they loosened when I washed her, *sigh*, when will I learn.

I actually purchased this baby because I thought she was irresistible with her bonnet and linen dress.

See her machine stitching on the hem of her dress? The colors are perfect and add that special touch to her.

Right now, she sits with Sadie, I'm sure I'll move her around. C&G Design

Great little sock doll...I dont recall a sock doll but rather Sock Monkey's. I see them all the time now as they seem to be making a come back...

Hi Dawn! I see you have been busy as usual! I am so busy I cannot get on here to comment...much less post! I miss it but will be back soon. Now this even seems like something I would be able to attempt...well maybe not! Really cute and she looks great next to Sadie. How was your turkey day??

She is pretty and I do remember the sock dolls. A fun project. The dress is a real beauty.

My hometown is the home of the famous sock monkey. I never had one. I like your sock doll, I'm partial to the soft, cuddly ones.

Hi Dawn, Oh, isn't that sock baby the sweetest thing? I love the dress.

Say, thank you for coming by and commenting. I can tell you where my daughter gets all of this stuff if you're interested. They have hysterical things (she's also sent me the REALLY irreverant Jesus pen, the last supper lunch box, and various other naughty things... kids.) xJ

The linen with stitching would have convinced me, too. This one is precious. Uh oh, I seem to be saying that often about your dolls, I hope the doll bug isn't contagious.
