Clothscapes-p.9, Fantasy Bird

Ohhh, I think my bird came out beautiful, pretty good for using my own colors (I had no graph with listed color scheme).

I'm relatively sure......fantasy bird is going to be a pillow and not in the wall sampler of my needlepoint.

I have a room with oriental art collected within it, my bird, that reminds me of Chinese New Year Dragon, would fit in the decor better than a sampler with muted colors.

Madame P calls this room the "blue room", whatever the title, it's the main room of my house. I'll be posting on it as it becomes a complete transformation with many fine things.

I used graduated color for the face and head feathers. Can you see the difference in the color of the green as it fades and darkens? The same with the blue atop the head? This is the first time I've used this thread and I really like the effect. I used the same blue for the legs only it didn't show so well. I adore the wings on my bird, so pretty. Using the outline stitch for this flower will be demostrative of how color is dramatic when fading in staged stitching.
Here is the fading color, staged stitching with white as the outline. A neat and cool look.

Yep, a pillow...stay tuned. C & G Design.

100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100,100, 100, 100, 100, 100 100! Post!

I can see the graduations and I think the blue and oranges came out beautifully.

I'm going to frame it with (textured) black fabric to enlarge it for a pillow, can't decide on piping vs lace vs nothing.

WOW!!!!! It is really pretty and with no graph for the colors, you really did a magnificence job.

I may not be on here tomorrow (depends on what time I get up) and not till late on Sunday. The University of New England in Bidderford is having a memorial service for people that donated their bodies to them after they passed away. My mothers cousin did that and her daughter, Jeanie, who now lives in Belfast is going to it and I will join her as she called and asked me to go. A friend of Jeanie's who really knew her mother well and liked her also will be there also. When Jeanie called and asked me to go she said that since I was so good to her mother she thought I would like to go and it would be her treat and we could have a girls weekend and have some fun and laughs that she knew her mother would want. We will spend the night at the Comfort Suites in Bidderford and do some roaming around the shops. Saco, Bidderford and Old Orchard Beach is all right there together so lots to do so it will be a packed couple of days.

Have fun mom, we will be cleaning out the camper, finally!
Madame played her sax last nite (after piano). Do cows make a sound when tipped?! Just kidding, she did better than I thought although it looked like she might pass out afew times. Same mouth piece as a clarinet, she was shaking when we was getting it, so excited and proud. Loves music.
Babe has a varisty game in Brewer! Nope not going! There are two varisty in your area, let you know when they come up.

Also the keys are nearly the same so if you play one, you can play the other with no problem. I had a friend that had a sax and we used to swap at times for fun. and a change of pace or should I say sound. I actually love the sound of a sax and later wished that I had gotten it istead of the clarinet.

Brewer is a ways to go for a game. You would think they would not play with that much spread. It used to be over 100 miles from here but with the new bridge between Bangor and Brewer and the new exits it may be a little closer now. Not sure on distance from you to there. Yup, let us know and we will go.

Congrats on number 100!!! yeah and many more to come....

I think you did a great job on the bird. I would never take on a task such as that without a color chart! Brave one you are and did so well....

Great job Madam!
My nephew played Sax in the High School band. I was able to see him perform in a parade one time while I was home. I was so proud of that boy… He is into guitar now more then anything. Not sure of his count but he has many of them in his collection…

Jean, have fun on your girls time out! Sounds like fun and you just sleep in as late as you like. A gal will need her sleep after all that fun... Tee hee…
