Tea Party

I really did not need another project but wanted a break for needle pointing. My sampler is coming along and seems to grow bigger each week.

Soooo, I decided to see what I could accomplish with a 1000 piece puzzle, isn't it cute. It's called Tea Party.

Jack of all Trades and myself spent 2 days concentrating on this giant, many faced, interlocking, stumper. It really was a very difficult puzzle with spaces that looked as if they needed one piece, only to have two!

The funniest thing.....hubby saying over and over, "that piece is missing" meaning part of the ferns. See, we had assembled all the green and found one spot left. Sure enough.....it was the only vacancy. On our hands and knees, I spotted the escapee slanted against the stairs where hubby was sitting!

He'd dragged it off the table with his elbow! Tisk, tisk, making it 9999 pieces!

Happy Pink Saturday. C&G Design.

Where do you find the time?? Do you still have your doll tea set from when we were kids? I have lost mine.

No, I don't have them but I've seen the same set at a fleamkt. Should of bought it.
I set my card table up by the 'puter to do this puzzle and hubby joined. Can't sit here w/o doing something.
The puzzle is mod podged now and will be framed.

They were my wall decorations when first starting out (with X-hubby) as money was an issue. Cheaply priced but pretty puzzle as entertainment, then a coat of the clear glue and now a decoration for the wall.... Ah, the simple days...

The Saint and I enjoyed putting puzzles together but have not done that in years....

I love doing puzzles and sometimes it is good to sit down together to do them.

It is pretty Dawn and puzzles are fun to do but I think, as adults we do not think of it that often.

I thought you girls still had your tea sets. What happened? I think, if my memory serves me correctly, Aunt Marion gave them to you.

Raining here today and we do need it. Have not had any for a while. Bad timing for Terri-Lynn as she has Ema for the weekend and has Josh for today and night.

Sandra was here for a visit yesterday. She is loving college and her apartment. She is real excited and happy about meeting all the new people from all over the world. Her little world of our small country town has really been expanded. She also has noticed all the poverty in Portland which has been quite the eyeopener for her.

Happy Pink Saturday, Dawn.

We love doing puzzles, too. This one is gorgeous, but I bet all of those eyes were a challenge. I'm glad you found piece #1000.

Wow! I know the work involved in this as my daughter made the same puzzle one long winter ago. And a very beautiful picture it is, full of lovely pinks. Hope you have a wonderful week.
