Few of my Favorite Things Friday

Getting busy, busy, busy now. Everyone is shopping, decorating, and menu planning, me too!

I'm still working on projects, just finding less time to get them done and in respect of the Christmas hustle and bustle, I've decided to do a simple post every Friday until the 25th. I call it "Few of my Favorite Things Friday", due to a common Christmas song played every year at this time. The first picture is of a cross stitch I did a number of years ago, it has a inexpensive clock kit while framed by a embroidery hoop. I love it.....nothing better than a garden at a glance for the time. It hangs in my kitchen, over the window that backdrops the sink.

This is a hemlock pine cone wreath, I made two others at the time I made this one, but they have been given away as gifts.

Wreaths are special in the sense they represent the continuing circle of life. My fragile scent of the woods adore the window in my dining room.

Ah....my first basket. If you look close you'll find the sides of the basket also have segmented pine cone flowers, and beads. My basket of flowers sit in my bathroom, atop the cupboard where it's undisturbed.

Intently undisturbed. C & G Design.

I love that song!
The clock is way cool but how long did it take you to get use to telling time on it? What time is it? Half past Parsley! A Quarter to Dill. It is Thyme! Oh with that one, I can see Who’s on first with Abbot and Costello… lol...

Pine cones are a great asset with crafts!

Dawn, I came over after Tina introduced you on her blog today. I am always in awe of crafters and their skills!

Your 'favorite things' are sweet. I really like the clock-agreat gift for a gardener. In your previous podt you show ceramic figures..I think doing them like frosted gingerbread people is a great idea. I would use the puff paint to outline them. That would make it look just like icing.

Hi Dawn, My Mom was a great one to cross stitch. Ever practical, she made her lovely designs on aprons, towels, anything useful.

I like your wreath. When I lived in Tennessee I made one wreath I really loved. I used sweatgum pods, those wonderful star shaped pods from cotton, large nuts, small pine cones, and misc stuff from weeds. It took a lot longer than I expected. A lot of work setting all those cones or pods.

Nice to meet you Dawn! I popped over from Tina's to see what you were up to. I'll have to remember to come back, I easily forget things and I'm constantly writing myself reminders. I am a fellow crafter too when it's too cold to garden. God knows I've got plenty of time for both up here in the frozen wasteland I like to call home.

All 3 are really very nice but I think the basket muct really add a real nice glow to any bathroom, if you are lucky enough to have a nice big bathroom.

Hi Dawn, came over from Tina's. Love your craftwork! All of them! What a great idea to use the embroidery hoop for the clock. And Skeeter's comment! Too good!!

Too cool skeeter. I thought the same. Dawn, I love that clock. I love all of them in fact. You should think of putting them on sale. Is the basket the one with the lights in it? That would be awesome in a bath.
I use to do a lot of crafts but kinda got away from it in the past yrs. I should get back to it as I have more time now that I can't do too much outside.

Hi guys, thanks for the kind words...and Skeeter, I saw your comment early a.m. and laughed myself silly. I never thought of not being able to read it but I think Jack of all Trades told me once he hated it because he couldn't understand it! So it took him awhile.
