A New Tool!
What.....is this!?! A new tool, like a tractor to a husband, a video game to a teenager, I have a new tool, a new play thing....kinda, sorta.....
I'm not quite sure I'll need this fancy cover, no sir-ree Bob. Nothing cardboard near my melting pot, I'll live with the glue skimming.
The directions to my melting pot states it's easier than a glue gun because it keeps your hands free, the heat won't blacken the glue, and it's good for flower stems and pinecones. This is what I saw after the first five minutes, I added more glue.
It also promotes the idea that more than one crafter can use it at one time.....another five minutes and more glue.

As with anything hot, it can with the usual precautions to be careful. My pot will always return to the packaging because if it works well, I'm gong to want a distributor of these for when and if this one breaks down. Two minutes and a third glue stick to fill it up to the reservoir level.
Well, it does smell like a normal glue gun, does it work? Seems stringy.....but for a good thing, the strings can go directly back in the pot to melt again.

Looks like you'll be busy with those gumballs Skeeter sent. Can't wait to see what you do! And I do think this is a good idea-less hassle and burns than when using a glue gun.

Ah, my back no longer hurts from picking up all them gum balls! Just seeing that you are doing something with them takes away all my pains! I had to smile as soon as I saw them between your fingers. lol...
My mother in law has a professional melting pot. She swears by the thing for her crafting. She gave me a professional glue gun and I loved the thing. It got really hot though and I have a scar or two from it but loved it! The trigger was so smooth to push. It died on me so had to bury it. Now I have a low heat one from box store and hate the thing! Low and slow heat and trigger is tight. arggggg... and it still burns too…
Sounds like a good idea, easier to use and with less waste so do let us know.
When I read the first line about a new tool I thought you were going to talk about the new thingy on the upper left hand side of the blog about the New England Blog.
Hi guys, I love my melting pot it works wonders with the difficult items that are to be glued. ie. not a flat spot to a flat spot. Guess that's why it works well with nature! Skeeter, I understand why your MIL loves hers. You also can't beat a great glue gun. I've had fun with the gumballs and will post soon!
