Paper Mache Doll-assembling and completing

I was going to try to avoid the body parts and I did pretty good except the first photo looks a little like something from a horror movie. Not only did I stitch her breastplate on, I glued it. The photo is the tying I had to do while it was drying. It came out quite well. Ah, it felt good to have my doll needle in my hand.....

I think I'll alter my torso pattern a little, moving the legs farther up on the fabric so the doll can sit without a step.

But....I put her in a doll stand anyway, I had to place it in the neck area because her waist is too big.

She's sorrrrt of cute.

The surprise that came to me in the middle of the night is the braid I put around her bun. If she were more of a fancy personality, I would of made a copper hair comb for her, poking it thur the mache.

A done paper mache doll I call Penny, she's about 10 inches tall.

She is ok, but I think I'll stick to mache snowmen and pumpkin heads. C&G Design

Ha! You did a good job. Sort of cute. I think the nose is a bit off, but the rest is great!

Penny is just lovely. She is so cute in her little blue dress. It has been a real learning lesson, to watch her come to life. So much work involved. I love her. THank you for sharing her......yesterday was beautiful, hopefully many more to come, soon!. Hugs, Kathleen PS thanks for the sports ideas.

Well I think for the first one you did a great job. Not an easy job. I really like the dress and her bun.
