Etsy Entry

I've thrown my hat in to the custom made items on Etsy. I'm not talking about Alchemy, but my own custom order.
Alchemy is a section on Etsy where buyer can post a "need" and handmade designers bids on it. It is a good way to get your name in the pool of "known" work. I peruse Alchemy every once and a while, wreaths are a biggie for me, 30 inch requests! I think the sweet gum can accommodate, don't you? Anyhow, I'm putting a entry on Etsy with these lamps, they can be anything. I'm thinking mostly kids stuff. Filling the "KERR" canning jar with Lego's, gluing Lego's onto the shade. To put a theme to a child's favorite. Or, miscellaneous toys, yo-yo's, power rangers, dice, super balls, batman, brats, etc. then a decoupage the lampshade from the funnies found in the Sunday paper. Whatever.
Silk flowers with roses glued around the bottom of the shade would be nice too. C&G Design

Now that is a cleaver idea! One can change it with the times! But down here in the south, we would use a Mason Jar. tee hee...

Alchemy sounds like a neat area. Imagine designers competing to design your project! The lamps are sweet. I have a few of the glass ones-always always filled with seashells to remind me of the ocean.

Both sound like good ideas and good luck.

Another fabulous idea. Where do you get your creative genes? They sure are powerful. Hasn't the weather been great. Hanging flower baskets soon.....hugs, Kathleen

What a great idea! I don't think it is just for kids though! How about filling the jar with old buttons or vintage marbles or dried flowers or broken jewelry? It is a good one for kids too though. I like the idea of adding some of the same thing onto a shade! You are a busy lady my friend! Keep em comin!
