Walk around the ....yard

Whew, yesterday (4-8-09) was very brisk in Maine, even the Red Sox's of Boston, Mass. was reporting of cold temperatures for the second game of the season. (and they lost). I have to say....my poor little pond is flooded and with more to come, just look at the snow and ice.

I remember two years ago we had a disaster snow storm on Patriots day, (4-17) it caused Maine to be in a state of emergency declared by the governor, yep, my SUV was involved in a roll onto it's side, accident. What will it be this year? A little mud, than a little more, than a few inches added, it is stretching on and on.

Some life is in my yard. "Come on" (whispering), "see spring."

Well, red and green. No, no, no, we are away from the Christmas colors!

A little peek.....

We'll take a daffy any day now. C+G Design

Yeah for the daffys! Spring comes so late to Maine. Mom was just asking me why I was covering J. maples-we are leafed out down here. Sigh, hang in there.

Dawn, your yard looks a lot like mine. Mud, ice, frozen mud, dirty snow, and it's cold, cold, cold. I am longing for warm breezes and blooming flowers. Guess I will have to wait. (Sigh). Hugs, Kathleen

No snow here and my Crocuses have gone by and the Daffy's will be blooming soon. But we do have some mud with all the rain we have had.

Boy Dawn we have a little snow left too but not much. What we do have is a lot of broken trees and brush piles we have to burn. It is cold here today...not the kind of day you want to be outside at all. You have a lot of water! Hope it's not too close to your house? Enjoy the weekend my friend.:)
