Faces, faces, faces

For greeting the mailman, a cheery, bright, most delightful pair.
I painted this mailbox when I was laid up with a broken leg.
The trim is sponged on and the hair of Ann + Andy is single stroked, paint consisting of four mixed colors.
The first time the mailman saw it posted up and ready for use, he passed by it!
So did I and my husband......C&G Design.

You did a great job! I am considering painting my mailbox but don't know if I ever will. Any special tips to keep it looking good?

I clear coated mine several times and I need to do it again. I can't seem to get all the road smut off it, maybe hot water and soap.

Ahhh, there is the mailbox. It is so pretty and you did a great job on it. I can see some of the road dirt on it and maybe one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers would work with it. They do a great job on most all things.

Tina you could do a nice flower scene on yours.

This mailbox is wonderful! I believe this is the first Ann & Andy box I have ever seen!
I like the idea of personalized mailboxes and I am sure the mail carrier gets enjoyment from them as well.

I have a flower planter under our mailbox but it has not looked good for some time with the drought. Too far to walk and water each day. But once we are out of this drought, I will put something nice up there…

Super job Dawn. I've never seen one with Ann & Andy on it. My niece would absolutely love that.
Hmmmm what could I put on mine!!!!! I do have a flower pot holder on it now. A pot on each side with hummers on top on band. Needs painting again.

Hi guys, Who knew it took a act of congress to switch internet service.
DP-hubby read your comment before me ...lol at the idea of you stealing my mailbox!
Lola, Manatees?(sp) that would be nice living in florida. Seeing Faye going thru tom. one fatality...hoping for no more. Glad it did not grab strength over land. Our month is Sept. ugh!
Skeeter, I hear 20''of rain from Faye--I believe the weatherman over estimates like any guy does.
Tina, I agree with mom, a bouquet of flowers? Mine has lasted for a while, I enjoy it so.

Nope, not painting the mailbox. It is a huge one and has always been a problem for me. I can't do anything there and the way the street is, not worth it. But I do like yours. I do gourds instead and that is my decorations. The mailbox is just not in a good position for me to enjoy.

Well, I do need a new gourd...the backhoe for the septic put afew holes in the orange flowered one I had :?(

No rain for us so far but I was seeing lots of rain being dumped on the news in FL so the 24 may not be so unrealistic after all. Fay is doing that stalling thing so she will dump the water....

At this time, not expected to come our way :(
We so wanted the big rainfall but we should still get something from her, well, we hope....
