I'm kinda glad I've created a monster! A creating monster that is.....Madame spent one afternoon crocheting, unbeknown to me....again!
She is awful proud of her new hat....it reminds me of the ghetto covers that is all the rage today, but kinda not! She made this without a pattern, I've since given her a few instructions to follow, it's time she learned abbreviations and direction, no matter how different it seems. I know how my mother and grandmother felt when I did such unpatterned creations! Astonished? Maybe?

You have such a talented one there Dawn! I am impressed as well with her skills. What is it they say, "The apple does not fall far from the tree" :-)
She's off and running on her own business! Seamstresses stay most busy down here. Crafters too. I love the hat!
That is so darned cute and so is she....what a beautiful girl. I love the hat! Hey...I am still learning how to crochet and I hate patterns sometimes because they don't come out the way the pattern says!:) I know it's me but it's frustrating. I taught a friend how to crochet and she could absolutely NOT follow a pattern. She had her own way of crocheting too...I can't even tell you what stitch it is that she uses...I've tried to figure it out watching her! She makes the most amazing purses and hats and free form type bags and sometimes weird looking things...but they are all beautiful and hers...like Madammes. Good for her! Again...you are such a great mom for teaching her. My old aunts taught me a lot when i was young and I will forever be grateful for that... what wonderful memories.:)
Skeeter I was going to say "Like mother, like daughter". Dawn I never would have thought of monster by creating things without a pattern. True talent was what I thought and I was always amazed the way you did it. I could never do it like that. I have a hard time with a pattern. As great as a seamstress as Nana was, she always used a pattern also.
Madame, you go girl!!! Great job and I LOVE the hat.
oh I love it. had a little eye op so can't read very easily, but can see well enough to be impressed. she's a doll!!! congrats on the genetic proof she's your daughter LOL, talent runs in the family;-)
Wow!! I can't even knit or crochet very well with a pattern. What a lovely, talented young lady!!
Madame is so talented, just like her MOM. I love the hat, the style and the colors..great job girl! Is that a raindrop I just felt? Na, can't be, we just had a month of rain...Oh NO! Hugs, Kathleen
