Felt Ornaments-Christmas Tree
This is a simple one....I learned a couple of years ago when my daughter was in third grade, to make the perfect tree, they traced their little hands. Much like my pattern is.
And I got overly excited about the antique glitter I found at Wally World. They had gold, red, and silver. It was on sale for more than $4.00 a bottle, so I limited myself to one. Drats! Years ago I used a multi color on a pair of butterfly wings I made for Madame's Halloween costume, never had the chance to find that fine of glitter again, until Martha Stewart!
I love the way it sparkles and covers the glue quite nicely, I don't even mind it sticks to every part of exposed flesh on me!

Good Morning Dawn....I love your tree. I used to do applique a few years ago...I made a dandy, "lodge Look" pillow with a moose and pine trees. Haven't done much in awhile. Any suggestions on where to shop for applique patterns? What was your snow total? We got about 7-8 inches. Have a sweet day...hugs Kathleen
When I looked at the first picture I thought, well now that is a funny looking tree. Wow!!! What a transformation!! It sure is a keeper when done. Very cute. You will be able to have another tree with all homemade felt ornaments on it.
Oh my Kathleen, how much total snow do you have on the ground? We only got a half inch and today it is in the 40's and melting, water running everywhere. Our ground is just barley covered. By tonight we will have many bare spots. The ground was mostly bare before yesterday. I would much rather have a few inches on the ground as it helps to insulate.
What a beautiful tree! I like glitter too, it adds just the right sparkle.
How cute! You need to go back to Wally world and see if they still have this glitter-stock up!

I have many books on applique, just email me with what you are looking for and I'll see if I can find a few. Applique patterns are hard to find. We got about 4 inches, far cry from what they said. Oxford area seems to always get buried, this year has been different.

Our Wal-Mart stores are carrying few craft items these days. Material completely gone! Guess more money in selling other things. argggg...
