Halfway....

I'm getting there, I thought I would show you a peek at the red work quilt. I'm really happy with the layout, the rows across jive, and the rows down jive. I have 5 categories of animals, not one repeats in either row, that makes for a good feeling by now.
Over the next couple of days I will add the center rows, the tops and the sides. I found I'm one row short so it is going to require I take another trip to, MARDENNNS! If the fabric is all purchased then I will have to change plans. DH and myself came to the conclusion this twin size quilt will need a contrasting border.....I'm thinking safari.
Until then....happy stitching. C&G Design

It looks completely different than I thought. Can't wait to see it's progress.

Looking good. Will be tickled to see the end product. Whose bed will it grace?

Dawn, I've been wondering over the past few days when we would get a glimpse of the quilt. Very nice! I am anxious to see it with the border and all. Sunny here in the north, how about your way? I guess we better enjoy it while we can. Hugs, Kathleen

It look great, I love it. Hope Mardens still has the frabic. Speaking of Mardens.....my yellow rose has a big bud on it and 2 others look good but the orange one is dead. I am leaving it where it is for now and hope something will show up from the roots sometime.

Well....what a great idea to show it on your bed!!! I do that too when I am trying to figure out how something goes...it's the biggest and softest place in my house! I love it Dawn...NOW I can FINALLY figure out what you are up to! Sometimes I am a little slow on the uptake.:( Great job and I hope Mardin's has what ya need. God I love that place. Thanks for sharing!

Hi guys,
Tina, It does look different, the busiest will tone down with more red work done on it.
Lola, I think I'm going to sell this quilt, it's twin and really wouldn't go on any of the kid's beds.
Kathleen, finally hot here although severly overcast, seems like a nice change, even Veshneau rolled in the driveway for about 5 minutes. She's happy to be outside but usually doesn't stay long, she gets lonely for people?!
Mom, yes, Marden's still had the fabric, thank goodness. Two of my roses survived last year, white and yellow. The white one started to get leaves but then mysteriously died. Same with the expensive white one on the archway. I'm just not destine to grow a white rose.
How's the garden Debbie? My sister links veggie updates every 20th, just let her know if you post on yours, I'd like to see it. My poor squash and spinach yellowed a bit w/o the sun. But! We discovered tomatoes today!
Have a nice evening all.
