The Nutcracker

My ornaments wouldn't be complete with out the Nutcracker, not only is Madame being one in this year's preformance at the Maine State Ballet, but it is a ornament I've thought about for a few years now.....

I've got a skinney tall dresser FULL of wooden babbles, they were given to me by a friend of ours, he purchased sacks full from our local dowel and tinker toy mill when it closed it's doors. I have to many eggs to mention.....eggs etc...(might be a project in the works)!
Anyhow, riffling through my dresser was somewhat of a challenge, I found several different style caps with several size bodies, this one works for me.....Madame wants to keep them at this point, she thinks they are cute, even naked!
I must admit, he took some work, he wasn't easy, he was creative painting especially since they were glued together. This is the end results....

He's all my own thoughts. Just think....Jack of all Trades asked what the thing was out of the top of his head! Okay, major brain cramp.
I haven't decided if they look evil or not. C & G Design.

Dawn, Try republishing Nutcracker and see if it comes up then. The blogroll should say it but I am at a loss as to why it does not.

I'll do that because the feed is fine, I really don't want to mess with advanced mode.
I found the comment, I'm placing my mail on the setting page to ensure that doesn't happen again. I'm not sure I'm that smart!

They are so cute. Bet they would sell for Christmas like hot cakes.

I would love to see the Nutcracker! The closet one we get is in Atlanta and dont care to go there for it unless with someone that knows the area in order to get us around town. Not sure the Saint would accompany me to see it. lol.... We do have a local version of the Nutcracker but not sure it would be worth a visit or not. Pricy tickets for a flop… I am a Cheapskate ya know… lol

Love the ornaments! Look very tedious to the fingers...

Hi Skeeter and Lola,
Hoping my little ornament ideas will sell! So exciting and rewarding.
I have a friend who's daughter did nutcracker last year....my friends hubby couldn't follow! LOL

I am SO very impressed! They are cute, not evil, and look like tons of work. You had the patience to pull it off. Great job!

They're just as clever as can be! What luck to have all the makings right there in your cabinet. I don't know if I would say evil, but definitely up to no good. =)
